From the challenge author’s site:
The Eudyptula Challenge is a series of programming exercises for the Linux kernel, that start from a very basic “Hello world” kernel module, moving on up in complexity to getting patches accepted into the main Linux kernel source tree.
I am currently taking part in this challenge, and expect to complete it soon. The end goal is to become a dependable member of the Linux kernel development community.
Upon completion of the challenge, a contestant is awarded a simple number, indicating how many people have completed the challenge before them.
